Saturday Day 1--Drive to St. George
Saturday morn we met up with the rest of our party and headed out. I was unsure how my pregnant bladder would handle the driving but I'm happy to report that it did really well. We drove through lots of rain on our way out but once we stopped in Cedar City it was nothing but rays from the glorious sun so Kateka and I of course had to soak that up. We stopped at Zions National park and I hiked my 7 months pregnant body up to see some water drip off a rock. Haha it was actually really gorgeous and as some lady told me on the way up, totally worth it. After we had fun at Zions for a few hours we headed on to St Geezy, got some dinner at a totally sketch pizza place, went and saw Thor, and then hit the sack. Only to be woken up on the sack by our next door neighbors in the hotel. Who knows what they were doing at 3 in the morning, it sounded like rearranging furniture and locking each other out of the room. Normal vaca activity. Funny memory to look back at and laugh now but not so funny in the moment. Over all a great first day :]

After an amazing complimentary breakfast at the hotel (seriously...shout out to Comfort Inn) we decided to hit the outlet stores. It was there at the outlet stores that I found a little piece of my heart in Ralph Lauren. It was a hat. It was expensive but after a joking comment that I was leaving a piece of my soul at this outlet mall, David went and bought the hat for me. Ah, cute. After that Stu needed a haircut and Kateka and I wanted to get our nails done so we drove around for a while trying to have an open places in St George on a Sunday. No luck for Stu but Kateka and I found a spot. Turns out no luck for us either because they were horrible and we had to listen to the same song over and over for the hour (maybe longer?) that we were there. Oh well, thats another great thing we can laugh at. We drove into Las Vegas and got settled at the Signature at the MGM Grand. We walked over to the Bellagio to see the Cirque show "O". It was amazing and I loved it, but out of the Cirque Du Soleil shows I've seen it wasn't my very favorite. It was more artsy then the others I've seen. Still great, just different. There was however a really cool act in it involving some platforms that swing and some extremely daring people that dive/flip/jump off of them. The height they were getting was ridiculous and since they had 3 of these platforms swinging at once it was like they were each trying to one up the last guy. The winner? The man that swam like a fish mid-air before diving into the water. If that doesn't make any sense to you, sorry I don't know how else to describe it. It was pretty sick. Afterwords we walked around Bellagio and watched the fountains before going back to our hotel to crash. We took lots of pics this day so I'll try to narrow it down.

Vegas weather while we were there wasn't as great as it could have been. It was fairly windy and cloudy almost the whole time. Monday morning there was a good couple of hours of sun. It was glorious. David, Stu, and Kateka went swimming (I didn't because I don't have a maternity swim suit and there is no way to fit this body in anything else at this point. And I didn't see a huge need to buy a maternity swim suit because Vegas is the only time I would have used it before she gets here) while I did my hair and then went down to meet them. I layed on one of the chairs for maybe half an hour in my jean capris and got an amazing farmers burn. Not a farmers tan because I was a little bit fried and I never really tanned, I just peeled. I had nothing on David though who was turning purple right before my little eyes. We bought some aloe later on that night. After swimming we went to the Bellagio buffet for lunch. Just a little tip if you're ever in Vegas and want to hit a buffet, some buffets close down in between lunch and dinner to switch out the lunch food to dinner food. The Bellagio does not so you can go at 3:30 (dinner starts at 4) pay lunch prices, get some lunch food to start, and then go crazy when they break out the dinner stuff. We hit the jackpot with that meal. After eating a ton we had to book it to The Lion King. I loved it. Such a good show, amazing costumes, and lets just talk about the music! My favorite is the He Lives in You song. The Rifiki actress was beyond. Totally my favorite.
We had massages set up at the Massage Envy off the strip on Tuesday. I was so excited because I've been having tons of back pain and...well everywhere pain and I'm so uncomfortable so I thought nothing would be better for me the a pre-natal massage. Well let me tell you something. Pre-natal massages are just really not that great! haha You can't get anything deep tissue because of those toxins that are released in your body would go straight to your baby. Totally makes sense but I was devastated. Basically we paid for me to get an oily back tickle and learn all about Patty's (my masseuse) life. It was fine but definitely not something I will spend my money on again...David can do that for me. :] After the massages (which the boys both enjoyed but Kateka and I got jipped) we went over to the Forum Shops at Ceasers. I got to return to my amazing dance site from when I was 12. For those that don't know, I got picked with a lot of other kids from around the country to go put on a superstar show at Ceasers Palace when I was 12. Back then it was living my dream, dancing everyday and really not doing anything else. Ceasers was a magical place back then...you know what it looked like now? A bunch of conference rooms. haha It was fun to revisit though. Then we went to Carnegie Deli in the Mirage, which David was dying to go to. He ate the biggest pastrami sandwich I've ever seen. Not for me thats for sure. That night we took it easy, some lounging about the hotel and some Haagen Dazs to top off the night. Pretty great.
It came way too soon but it was time to return home. We slept in and after packing up and checking out decided to go to Hash House A Go Go, which was a way recommended breakfast joint. I'm not a huge breakfast person and when I am I'm pretty basic so I just got myself some Starbucks and went along for the ride with the others. The menu there was like looking at a menu in France...or at least I felt that way. haha At least I didn't have to pick anything, it was way too overwhelming. David and Stu wanted the chicken and waffles and Kateka got a mango pancake that was literally as big as her and Stu's heads combined. Well, Kateka got her meal right away but the waitress told us they burnt the waffles so they were fixing some new ones. David and Stu waited and waited and waited some more. FINALLY homegirl brings out 1 plate of chicken and waffles for David. Apparently she didn't hear Stu or something. Terrible. Poor Stu had to wait for them to make his and the waitress was not apologetic at all! Once he got it everyone else was done (I was done first since I didn't eat anything) but he finished quickly seeing as he was starving. Then we began the dreaded drive home. Thats when Kateka realized that her phone was missing. Thats like missing a child. We were too far to turn back so we called the hotel and when they didn't have it we called Hash House A Go Go. They sure had it but they were sure uncooperative. Kateka tried to work every angle but basically was told she could pick it up in a year or whenever she gets back to Vegas. Luckily Kateka's sister in law has some family down there that was able to go get it for her but lets just say I was not so impressed with this famous breakfast spot. LAME! Well we made it home safe to return to work the next day. It was such a fun quick trip. A final get-a-way before its not easy to get-a-way anymore. We had the best company so thank you Stuart and Kateka for being so understanding of my huge body and its restrictions. You guys are amazing! Here are some shots from Hash House before we saw their true colors ;]

Vegaaaaaaaas! Oh this was the best ever. Even better than none of us got sick of each other through the trip (or at least... we didn't get sick of you guys... which would be impossible). I totally forgot about that song playing on repeat and how not only were we getting mani/pedi's but also a musical performance from the employees for the full 90 whatever minutes.
Ah! And those people who woke us up in St. George and how we all woke up to me screaming, OH MY HELL. And I forgot about David setting the timer up at the Bellagio. Awesome. I love how each of these days come with titles (Day 3 -- The Lion King). And totally scoring on the Bellagio lunch... we scored big time!
I laughed out loud at your oily back tickle. And the icecream that night! Oh we were all in heaven. Remember how David ate his in like 5 seconds flat?
Liz, you rocked it on this trip being 7 months pregnant!! And seriously, did this post take you like ten years to create? It did for me. Phew!
And yay! I can comment again!
