Catch Up

So after 4 loooooooooooooooong months we have the Internet back!! You have no idea the joy I feel everyday when I get home from work and I realize I can check my email and my facebook. We almost didn't get it back this week...Comcast was supposed to show up between 1-5 on Tuesday. Well at 4:45 I called David and told him that he might want to call Comcast and see if they were EVER going to come because I've waited 4 months and 1 more day at this point would kill me. They were running behind because of the snow and they couldn't find our address because we don't pull up on GPS yet. Finally he gets here around 6 and I open the door in my PJ's to hear "Uh we have a problem..and its a big one too". I don't want to hear it cable guy. You fix the problem because I have lived without this for 4 months and I've read 8 books and I'm done. I want mindless entertainment on cable and I want to not live in 1942 and have the Internet so you FIX IT! I'm glad David was here because he handles these things much better then me! The problem was the box is on the other side of our walkway and he cant run any cords that go across a sidewalk or our porch. David convinces him that since its just our walkway and not a public sidewalk why doesn't he just run it and then have the man come on the 12th on Nov and redo it then. The creepy cable man agreed to do that for us..bless him. So now I'm back and I'm playing catch up!
For the 24th of July we went down to David's family's cabin for the Cleveland Ut parade/family reunion. Most of his cousins were there and we had such a fun time! I've heard David talk about the Cleveland dance the entire time I've known him but I had never been to it. Its held the night of the 24th and they do fireworks too. So we all piled in his cousin's truck, (literally all 12 of us) danced and sang the entire way there, and I pretty much peed my pants all night laughing. Here's some of us watching the fireworks. They were great too..considering its Cleveland Ut :]
As I told you in my last post we went to Japan to see David's dad Scott and his wife Sumi again. He got re-baptized and it was so cool to be there and watch my husband baptize him. Scott had to work most the time while we were there but we got to do some really fun things! We went to Cirque Du Soleil for my birthday and a Jazz music festival for Scott's. We went to a kitchen district full of nothing but plates, bowls, chopsticks and plastic food to display if you are opening your own restaurant. We also had a magical train ride. Scott had to work the day we went to Kappabashi kitchen district so David was in charge of knowing which train we transferred to when and where it was going to take us. It was cake on the way there and that night we arrived at 8:50 or so to catch the 9:09 rapid train back to the stop where Scott was picking us up. There was only one line that we could take to get to that stop and it was the Chuo line. A common way of committing suicide in Japan is to jump in front of trains. A sad soul decided to jump in front of the Chuo line a few stops down from where we were at 8:49 prohibiting us not just from taking the rapid train home but really from taking any train home. It should have taken us an hour to get home but it took us 3.5. We kept transferring from line to line trying to get as far as we could before we didn't have an option but to wait for the Chuo line to start again. In the middle of one of our other line ventures we stop dead in between 2 platforms because lo and behold the Chuo line started again and we needed to wait for them so they could try and get caught up. I was losing my mind by this point of course and I told David I was just going to go on a punching spree because they were going to have to move the train if some crazy lady was punching everyone. Then the police can come for me and at least I'll get to sit down at the police station. Luckily we started moving not too long after I threatened that. "The Incident" backed up several commuters on their way home so to say that the trains were packed is completely understated. Luckily David was a genius about which lines to take to get us as far as we could before we had to join the LOADS of people on the Chuo line. Here is a pic of me on the train that night along with a couple other Japan pics.

We are loving our new house. Its so crazy for me to think of this being my house and not just where my stuff is for the moment. I know we're extremely blessed to be able to own a home. The moving part however...lets just say there were 3 things I wasn't a huge fan of. They were
1. Packing
2. Moving
3. Unpacking
Luckily we had amazing friends and family that helped!

Here are Kateka and I trying to cool off by the vent after running boxes up and down the stairs for an hour! Here David and I are trying to cool down with some popsicles on the day of the move
Here is our disaster of a new house the next day
