Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving this year at my Aunts house. Dinner was uhhhmazing. I don't think I could pick a favorite thing if you paid me. Ok ok if you twisted my arm I'd pick the stuffing, no the rolls, no the mashed potatoes that I made ;], ok the stuffing. Did you follow all that? Its only the day after people, I haven't really pulled myself together yet. We ate, laughed, talked, watched the Saints almost lose it but by the skin of their teeth win it, and played wii. It was a good night. I'm extremely thankful for these times spent with family and I know how blessed I am to have such great family.

I'm Thankful For..(cheesy post ahead)

1. My husband
He's pretty great. We've been through some ups and downs in this old marriage of ours and some said it wouldn't last. Well we've made it 3 1/2 years and I laugh at the skeptics. I'm proud of everything we've worked for and couldn't be happier with the place we're currently in. Everyday I think about how lucky I am. (I told you it would be cheesy. Sorry, its true)
2. Family and Friends that are as close as family
I love both David's and my family so much. David's family accepted me like I was one of their own and I'm so thankful to have them in my life. We have such good friends. I honestly love them like family and I plan on them being in my life for good. (so get over it if you were hoping to get out :)
3. My Job
I am happy that I get to work in healthcare. I'm thankful I have good insurance and a pretty decent paying job.
4. Our house
I'm thankful we have a beautiful house we get to call ours and I'm thankful not too many people come over to judge me when I don't clean it.
5. No tickets since Aug!
Such an accomplishment for me! Well on my way to 3 years right?

In general I'm happy with my life right now. I feel blessed and I'm enjoying the smooth ride after such a bumpy few years with one thing or another. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and can find several things in your lives to be grateful for. If you need something to cheer you up just listen to this song....

Doesn't matter what kind of mood I'm in, it always make me smile and dance along. Add this song to my "Thankful For" list. So great.

Feedjit

As you may have noticed I use Feedjit to see who looks at my blog. It tells me where they are and how they came upon my little blog. I look at it every once in a while because it can be interesting. Well today I had this listing..

Westwood, New Jersey arrived from google.com on "The Barhams" by searching for "i peed my pants".

Probably the best thing I've ever seen.
A. Who searches something like that on Google?
B. My blog pulled up. I died.
C. I hope they got the answers they were searching for.

My Life is Over

Thats my over dramatic statement for the day. I not having the best of days. I had to go to court this morning for one (of my 3!) tickets. I felt great about court today. I felt like it would go smoothly and I would get what a wanted. All I wanted was traffic school. The lovely prosecutor vetoed that real quickly. We became best friends instantly. (Jerk) I had to just pay the ticket and get the points on my licence. Anyways, its over and I am glad about that. Nothing can ruin my good mood faster then thinking about the court dates I have coming up. 1 down, 1 to go. I'm going to tell you what I learned through all this. Sometimes in life you learn lessons the hard way. You might of thought I learned from the 1st or 2nd tickets I received but I hadn't. It took 3. When I got my 3rd ticket I was a hot mess. I bawled for hours over what kind of idiot gets 3 tickets in 4 months. I bawled because our insurance is going to go up and it's my fault. Poor David didn't ask for this. Luckily, I have the best husband in the world. He was the one telling me it was ok. He was the one telling me we'd be just fine. He was the one saying he's not mad at me and to stop crying already. Since then I have changed the way I drive. I don't care that you are riding my tail because this is the speed I'm going to go so get over it. I could have made that light but I would have been pushing it so I stopped. I don't regret making the decisions I've made because it led me to the place I'm in now. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for those tickets so I'm glad I got them. However, I wouldn't mind not getting another one....ever. Plus its not all bad, its still working out better then I thought it would from the beginning and I have a good friend to thank for that. I'm thankful for that friend and I'm thankful for learning my lesson the hard way. Here is my advice to all 4 of my readers, drive in such a way that you won't be nervous if you see a cop. You're life will be so much simpler then mine is currently.

Disney on Ice

David and I went to Disney on Ice last night. We were the only people there without kids but I didn't care. We went with my uncle Ralph, cousin Teresa, her son Hunter, and uncle Ralph's neighbor kids Justin and Abby. I didn't really know what to expect from Disney on Ice. Well they actually put on a mini version of some Disney movies. They went through The Lion King, (which I totally need to watch again STAT) The Little Mermaid, Lilo and Stitch, and Peter Pan. Kinda random? Yes. Pretty great? Yep. My favorite I think was The Lion King...or Lilo and Stitch. I haven't seen The Lion King in years and I really love that movie. Lilo and Stitch (which didn't really belong with any of the others..weird) is another one of my favorite movies. "I'm late because I had to go the store and get peanut butter, because all we have is..is STINKING TUNA!" She is so cute. I love the crazy things she says. I took a few pics, but I didn't get any great ones. When my cousin Teresa posts some I may add to the picture list. We'll see if I like hers any better, haha. Here are a couple of mine.

Infestation

We all know how much I love bugs. Remember this? And this? They haunt me. Recently I've had a ton of crickets popping up in our house. Hiding like freaks underneath my laundry and stuff. David and I made a deal that he has to kill them all. He knows how much it means to me/he likes me being alive, so from fear of his wife having a heart attack he kills them. If he's not home I kill them and leave my shoe over it and he cleans it up when he gets home. I'm lucky right? haha Well at work the past couple of weeks there has been an infestation of one of the worst bugs out there. Moths. Here we go again right? They sit in the stairwell I have to walk up to get inside the building. They sit in the windows in the stairwell I walk inside the building. So creepy. One morning I was so ridiculously appalled at the amount in the stairwell outside so I stopped at 5:30 am to take a pic. I heard someone coming behind me and I didn't want to be the freak taking a picture of the moths. They would probably think I had some fetish or loved them or something. So I just ran away without grabbing the shot. However when I came out that day no one was around so I quickly took a very graphic pic. I don't think there were as many moths out there as the morning time but I was still gagging as I took this shot. Don't look below if you can't handle it.
They better not fly toward my face because I will karate chop any moth that comes at me. And then sue my employer for workers comp for at least emotional damages.

Tunnel of Terror

Saturday night we went to a Halloween party at my friend Kellee's house. David and I are not huge Halloween people, I have to be honest. We've never dressed up together before and as I learned on Saturday, David has never carved a pumpkin. Ridiculous right? Is he American? Its unsure at this point. We put together a couple pretty stupid costumes and headed over. We ate dinner and carved pumpkins. We actually had a pumpkin carving contest. We lost. Don't worry the winners cheated. Sahar and Jake carved 2 pumpkins. When the messed up on their first one they just stole a extra pumpkin and started over. No one noticed in the frenzy of carving but we noticed later when we were cleaning up. Sas and Jake had already left with their prize but we still took the title of "pumpkin carving champs" away from them. Ha. We played a candy bar game. I ended up with a great old bag of....air. I was not in the competitive mood I'm normally in that night. After we played the candy bar game Kellee brought up the Tunnel of Terror. Its a local car wash that turns the car wash into...well...a Tunnel of Terror..for Halloween. No one wanted to go but me and Kell so we went. Alone. We were laughing and so stoked the entire drive up there. Once we pulled in we paid and the lady taking our money kinda hyped us up for what we had in store. She said "Its really foggy in there isn't it. The mental hospital lent us all their patients for a night. Make sure you keep your windows up because they might take a little bite if they get the chance...muahahahahaha." Kellee and I were beyond excited. We couldn't wait to tell everyone what they missed by sitting it out. We pulled up and some man with a glow stick guided us onto the belt. I couldn't really tell where my little car was because there were no lights on and a techno colored ball flashing blinding lights at my face. He tapped my window and I jumped. He told me I just needed to put my car in neutral and let off the brake. Ok. We started moving in and the glow in the dark soap was applied. 2 minutes later nothing other then a normal car wash had happened. My car was getting cleaned in the dark. Really? That's not a Tunnel of Terror. That's a car wash that has a light bulb out. I'll tell you where they didn't have a light bulb out...the disco balls. I had a migraine the second we pulled in there. It wouldn't let up with its incessant flashing in my bloody face. Calm down would you? Half way through Kellee and I decided we needed to start making some really scary stuff up so we could still make everyone jealous. We're talking about all the scary people that we would say were crawling over my car and out of no where some man with a scream mask on and a glow stick hit my window. I screamed. And then I peed my pants because that was it? Congrats Tunnel of Terror. You are by far the lamest..uh...haunted car wash I've ever been to. At least we got a great story out of it.
